About Laurel

Laurel Black is an author and photographer. She loves creating visually-striking fantasy worlds with breathtaking magic and thrilling adventure. Growing up, she was more inclined to play outdoors than stay inside and read until she was given The Hobbit. This was when she discovered the true power of books to transport you to another world and where her love of fantasy novels began. When not writing or behind a camera, you can find Laurel on a walk in the woods, searching town for the best vegan desserts, or reading novels that have happy endings. She lives in Nashville with her husband and their rescue dog, Parker, who also likes a good adventure and would probably like hobbits too if he met them. Lost Kingdom is Laurel’s debut novel.
